The claim by President Barack Obama’s choice as UN ambassador, Samantha Power that she would completely endorse the racist, supremacist and murderous state of Israel if appointed to the post, illustrates once again the utterly corrupting influence of the Zionist Lobby in Washington DC.
Only a few years ago, in 2002, when Power was still a minor official, she felt free enough to say that the Jewish lobby was a “domestic constituency of tremendous political and financial import” and that the US should transfer its aid payments from Israel to the Palestinians.
Furthermore, she said, this transfer of aid would include the insertion of “a mammoth” and explicitly “military” force into Palestine to protect the Palestinians from Zionist aggression.
Power also blamed Israel for the tactics the U.S. has used in Iraq. She stated that America’s “deference” to Israel has caused us “to replicate Israeli tactics, which, as the war in Lebanon last summer demonstrated, can turn out to be counter-productive.”
In addition, Power also expressed outrage at the way Israel has treated the U.N.’s peacekeepers in South Lebanon, and quoted the statement of Brazilian United Nations diplomat Sergio Vieira De Mello, that the Israelis are “bastards.”
Power also attributed Israel’s incursion into South Lebanon not to the terrorism launched against it from that area, but to the existence of dispossessed Palestinians and Israeli “insecurity.”
Such honesty is rare in Washington DC—and this rarity is there for a reason, as Power’s current (2013) comments show.
The power of the Jewish lobby has been brought to bear on Power, and it has been made clear to her that she stands no chance of being selected as UN ambassador unless she completely changes her tune.
Power has been forced to dismiss her earlier remarks as a “long, rambling and remarkably incoherent answer” to a hypothetical question she shouldn’t have answered.
She has said that if she is confirmed as UN ambassador by the Senate, she will work to eliminate what she calls the United Nations’ “unacceptable bias and attacks” on Israel.
Power told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee this week that the US has no “greater friend” than the Jewish state.
She criticized the UN for its “disproportionate” focus on Israel and said she would fight to have Israel admitted as a member of the UN Security Council, a post that the Jewish state has been vying for.
“The Security Council seat is one that has eluded Israel, despite its many contributions across the years, and I commit to you wholeheartedly to go on offense, as well as playing defense on the legitimation of Israel, and we’ll make every effort to secure greater integration of Israeli public servants in the U.N. system,” she said.
“The UN must be fair,” Power said. “Israel’s legitimacy should be beyond dispute, and its security must be beyond doubt. And just as I have done as President Obama’s UN adviser at the White House, I will stand up for Israel and work tirelessly to defend it.”
An array of Jewish Supremacist groups — including the Anti-Defamation League, the Jewish Council for Public Affairs and the Conservative movement’s Rabbinical Assembly — have endorsed Power unreservedly.
The corrupting power of the Zionist lobby is clear: threated with the loss of personal career loss and lack of income, Irish-born Power has decided to bow down before the Jewish lobby and betray what she knows to be the truth.
Anyone who wonders about the origin of the overt lying and deception which has become the hallmark of mainstream American politics, need puzzle no longer: the Zionist Supremacists and their death grip over Washington DC lie at the heart of political corruption in our nation.
