Burgas Bombing and Iran: The Zionist Lies Continue

The tragic bombing in Burgas, Bulgaria, which killed seven Israeli tourists, was carried out by an Algerian Islamist living in Sweden—but this fact has not stopped the Zionist liars and warmongers from blaming Iran for the attack.

The suicide attack was carried out by Mehdi Ghezali, described as an “Algerian-Swedish Islamist who spent two years in Guantanamo Bay.”

ABC News published a photo of a fake Michigan driver’s license that belonged to the man who was identified by Bulgarian authorities as the suicide bomber. Michigan is home to one of the largest Arab communities in the US.

Bulgarian officials quoted by Bulgarian TV said the terrorist was aided by several people in Bulgaria – Lebanese citizens or local radical Islamists who planned the operation. The explosives were manufactured inside Bulgaria, according to reports.

These facts did not deter Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from claiming that the bombing “was carried out by Hezbollah, the long arm of Iran”—despite there being no evidence at all to confirm this accusation.

In fact, if anything, the links are to Sweden and America, but this does not fit in with the Zionist plan to incite war against Iran.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast called the accusation “baseless,” saying it was aimed at diverting world attention from Israel’s role in the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientists.

“The Zionist regime, which had a direct role in the assassination of our country’s scientists, is leveling baseless accusations to divert global attention to its own terrorist nature,” Mehmanparast told the IRNA news agency.

“The Zionist regime is even ready to pursue its political scenarios by putting at risk the lives of people inside or outside the occupied territories,” Mehmanparast added.

He noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran is itself the biggest victim of terrorism and putting the lives of innocent people is a wrong strategy.

Israel’s Mossad spy agency has been behind the murders of at least five Iranian nuclear scientists since 2010, as well as other clandestine operations, such as planting powerful computer viruses.
