By Dr. Patrick Slattery — The other day I was driving along the highway and I saw huge billboards saying “Tell Washington to stop spying on us!” There has been a groundswell of outrage across the United States, Europe, and Latin America over revelations that the NSA has been spying on entire populations, from the average Joe to presidents and prime ministers.
So when journalist Glen Greenwald revealed more Edwin Snowdin leaks in the French newspaper Le Monde last week that the tapping of the French President’s phone was not the work of the NSA but rather the Israeli’s, I was hopeful that FINALLY Americans would wake up to the fact that our Zionist “best friends forever” have in fact been treating us as enemies throughout their existence as a Jewish state.
However, despite the NSA story staying in the headlines of the American press day after day, I have not seen a single mention of Israel’s leading role in the NSA scandal. Even when Democracy Now had an extensive interview about the NSA scandal with Glen Greenwald just a few days after his Le Monde article, Israel was not mentioned a single time!
I can only assume that Democracy Now host Amy Goodman made it clear that Israel’s role in the spying was off limits as Greenwald has shown a willingness to push the envelope with regards to revealing the ugly truth about Israel.
For instance, in September he revealed that the NSA is feeding Israel raw data about Americans. In other words, the NSA is working for the Israelis when it spies on us!
The raw communications data is not filtered before being provided to the Israelis, although they are asked to “destroy upon recognition” any communication “that is either to or from an official of the US government”.
Such communications included those of “officials of the executive branch (including the White House, cabinet departments, and independent agencies), the US House of Representatives and Senate (member and staff) and the US federal court system (including, but not limited to, the supreme court)”. So, our tax money is used to spy on ourselves and our government and then the information is turned over to a foreign country that has a history of unprovoked aggression against us. We have to stop chanting “USA is number one” and wake up to the humiliating reality that we are a subjugated, repressed, and exploited vassal to world Zionism.
