Commentary by Dr. Patrick Slattery — Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who was the Chairman of the Democratic National Committee that oversaw the primary process, has been outed by Wikileaks as having successfully make efforts to ensure that dependable Zio stooge Hillary Clinton would be nominated as the party’s presidential candidate.
Now she is trying to deflect attention from her subversion of democracy by accusing Russia of hacking her email without any real evidence. Wikileaks founder Julian Assange has stated that Russia was not the source of the leak, and the fact that Team Hillary would blame their own crimes on Russia does not bode well for averting the world war that Hillary’s State Department tenure has set us on course for.
Ex-DNC chair accuses Trump of ‘treason’ over Russia hack plea
Addressing her resignation for first time, Debbie Wasserman Schultz says she’s ‘taking one for the team,’ is met with cheers at convention
PHILADELPHIA — Addressing her resignation as chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee for the first time, Debbie Wasserman Schultz accused Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump of treason.
Referring to Trump’s request Tuesday that Russia uncover emails deleted by Hillary Clinton, Wasserman Schultz said Thursday the statement was “treasonous, it’s seditious, it’s unacceptable.”
Trump made the comment after government officials suggested that Russians hacked the DNC’s email server, leading to a leak of DNC emails showing favoritism to Hillary Clinton, the Democratic presidential nominee, during the primary season. Trump has said he was being sarcastic. Wasserman Schultz resigned her position on Sunday as a result of the leak.
Wasserman Schultz made the comments at an event at the Democratic National Convention hosted by the National Jewish Democratic Council, where she was presented with an award. The crowd greeted her with cheers, and she sounded defiant and struck a Jewish note in addressing the email scandal.
“I might not always win the day,” she said. “I might not convince everybody that I’m right. But you can be damn sure I’m never gonna lose because I’ve been outworked. That is a hallmark of our people. We persevere. We stay focused. We stay together. We lock arms. And we never forget where we came from.”
Wasserman Schultz said “This has been a difficult week, no question about it,” but that “sometimes you just have to take one for the team, and that’s OK. It’s OK.”
The morning after her resignation, Wasserman Schultz — a Florida congresswoman — spoke at a breakfast hosted by the Florida delegation to the convention, and was booed. But in her speech at the Jewish Democratic event, she said she would “go home and win my primary,” which was greeted with loud cheers.
