The Syrian army has killed all members of a terrorist group affiliated with al-Nusra Front, confiscating Turkish-constructed ammunition and medicines from the militants.

An unnamed Syrian military source told the official SANA news agency on Saturday that the incident took place on a road to the Qantara village in the southern countryside of the western province of Hama.

The source said the terrorists were slain during a special operation conducted by a unit of the Syrian army.

In a video released by Russia’s RT television network on Friday, Syrian intelligence forces said they have captured a haul of medical supplies near Aleppo City that came from Turkey and was destined for Daesh elements in the Iraqi city of Mosul.

A staunch opponent of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, the Turkish government has long been providing support to Takfiri terror groups operating to topple the government in Damascus.

Syrian intelligence forces say that they have captured a haul of medical supplies near Aleppo that came from Turkey and was destined for Daesh terrorists in the Iraqi city of Mosul.

In a video released by Russia’s RT television network on Friday, Hussein al-Omar, a colonel in Syria’s Military Intelligence Directorate, said that the lorry, loaded with some 25 tons of medicine and hospital supplies, including a number of dialysis machines, had entered Syria from Turkey’s Bab al-Hawa international border crossing, located on Syria’s northwestern border with Turkey.

He added that the lorry was planned to reach Mosul, Daesh’s de facto capital in Iraq, through the towns of Afrin, A’zaz, and Manbij in Aleppo province. According to Omar, the lorry, loaded in Turkey, bore a Syrian number plate and was driven by two militants from al-Qaeda-linked al-Nusra Front terrorist group, who had received the cargo in the Bab al-Hawa border crossing.

“Through an intelligence operation, we lured them from Afrin to Nubl, arrested them, and brought them here. All of this proves that Turkey is supporting the terrorists, especially Daesh, with meds and all supplies, even with weapons,” the Syrian official further said.

The much-needed aid would be delivered to Aleppo’s local maternity hospital, which sustained damage in a recent shelling attack launched by the Takfiri terrorists, he added.

Turkey has time and again been accused of aiding and abetting militant groups operating in Syria with reports saying that Ankara actively trains and arms the Takfiri militants there, and facilitates their safe passage into the Arab country. Ankara has also been accused of buying smuggled oil from Daesh.

WASHINGTON (JTA) — A banker who once enforced U.S. sanctions on entities dealing with Iran said the Obama administration is sending mixed messages on whether it will penalize those who do business with the Islamic Republic.

“Washington is pushing non-U.S. banks to do what it is still illegal for American banks to do,” Stuart Levey, who was the undersecretary for terrorism and financial intelligence at the U.S. Treasury from 2004-2011, wrote in Friday’s Wall Street Journal.

Levey, who is now chief legal officer for HSBC Holdings, a British bank, referred to a meeting this week in London in which U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry sought to persuade European financial institutions to do business with Iran.

Clashes have erupted in the Israeli occupied territories of Palestine as hundreds attend marches in preparation for the commemoration of Nakba Day.

Sporadic clashed were reported on Friday in towns and villages across the West Bank as Palestinians protested for their right of return to the occupied Palestinian territories.

Images showed protesters, waving Palestinian flags and chanting slogans against the Israeli regime, being gassed by Israeli forces in the village of Bilin near Ramallah. Israeli forces also dispersed a demonstration of cyclists in the area.

Two Palestinians were injured after Israelis used live ammunition against them in the town of Kufr Qoddum north of West Bank.

The protests come two days ahead of mass march planned by the Palestinians to commemorate the Nakba, or ‘catastrophe’, which is the day Palestinians mark the loss of their homes in the 1948 war that resulted in the creation of Israel and the flight of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians.

Millions of Palestinians and rights activists around the world are expected to observe the official commemoration on May 15 while a huge march will be held across West Bank and also in the besieged Gaza Strip.

Israeli forces have, over the past days, intensified arrests and night raids on the Palestinian homes in a bid to prevent prominent figures and organizers from attending the event.

British boxing champ Tyson Fury warns of ‘Zionist, Jewish’ brainwashing

(JTA) — Tyson Fury, a British boxer who is one of the world’s top athletes in his category, was filmed warning viewers not to be brainwashed by Zionist Jews, who he said own all banks and media.

The Campaign Against Antisemitism, a British watchdog group, said it is submitting a complaint to the British Boxing Board of Control against Fury over the video, which surfaced on YouTube Friday.

“Everyone just do what you can, listen to the government follow everybody like sheep, be brainwashed by all the Zionist, Jewish people who own all the banks, all the papers all the TV stations. Be brainwashed by them all,” said Fury, a practicing Catholic who is scheduled in July to try and win back his International Boxing Federation title of world champion in his category of heavyweight. He lost the title last year due to a technicality after holding it for only 10 days.

BBC shrugs off Kiev’s demand to say ‘Russian aggression’ instead of ‘civil war’

Ukrainian MPs have urged the BBC to stop distorting reality and say “Russian aggression” instead of “civil war” when describing the conflict in the country. The BBC rejected the claim, reserving right to use various terms to “objectively” cover the events.

In a letter to the British Broadcasting Corporation, Ukrainian MPs called on the BBC to make changes in the way it covers news in eastern Ukraine and exclude the phrase “civil war”  from their reports on the crisis in the country. On Friday politician Svitlana Zalishchuk from the Subcommittee on Euro-Atlantic Cooperation and European Integration Committee on Foreign Affairs posted a copy of the letter addressed to BBC’s Non-Executive Director, Director-General and Chairwoman of BBC Trust on Facebook.

The request came after BBC showcased a film called “The Conspiracy Files: Who shot down MH17” on May 3 addressing the cause of the crash of the Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17 in July 2014 in Ukraine.

“This is our reaction to the broadcasting of the documentary “Who Shot Down MH17?” on the British channel BBC 2,” wrote Zalishchuk on Facebook.
