Commentary by Dr. David Duke –– Cholesterol is not only not the bogeyman it is made out to be, it is absolutely necessary for humans. The question is how to get Cholesterol into the body in the best configuration.
One thing is sure, Cholesterol is not the evil it is made out to be. In fact, low cholesterol when it is represented by excessively low HDL, or Good Cholesterol, is the most powerful predictor of heart disease, much more predictive than high LDL, or bad cholesterol. The ironic thing is that high saturated fat diets combined with low carbs, produce routinely far more healthy blood cholesterol numbers! I have seen this in my own blood tests over the years and all of my friends have reported the same after going on low carb, higher saturated fat diets!
