You’d think the Democrats would stay away from the “third rail” political issues that usually cost them elections, but Obama apparently can’t restrain himself. It’s almost as if Obama doesn’t care that 2010 is going to be a tough election year for Democrats. Some folks might even say that either Obama is deliberately trying to lose the election for his party or he’s a much bigger buffoon than most people think.
First there was the Obamacare Bill rammed through Congress despite screams of protest, polls showing massive opposition to the bill and Congressional phone banks flooded with angry calls. Obama’s great “solution” to the health care problem is to force Americans who don’t have health insurance to pay insurance companies for health care. Well, that’s a heck of a plan considering that the real unemployment rate is somewhere around 20 to 22 percent.
Obama then toyed with the idea of an illegal alien Amnesty, reminding everyone that the Democrats want to turn the US into northern Mexico.
Now, Obama has just reminded everyone that the Democrats are gun control fanatics, unwilling to allow the importation of sixty year old rifles that were originally made in the USA.
The Fort Liberty web site reports: “The Obama administration has moved to block the sale of 857,470 Korean War vintage rifles. The rifles were previously approved for sale from the South Korean government to American citizens, but the Obama administration yanked back approval without explanation. The rifles consist of 770,160 M1 Carbines and 87,310 M1 Garand rifles….. These rifles are semi-automatic and are full legal in the United States. The Obama administration is exploiting a loophole in the law which allows them to ban these rifles due to their previous ownership. The South Korean government sold 200,000 of these rifles in the United States in 1987 and those rifles have served Americans well for more than two decades. This appears to be one more step by the Democrats to make affordable firearms unavailable — effectively implementing gun control on everyone but the wealthy.”
Remember: the only reason for someone to attempt to take your weapons and leave you defenseless is because that someone intends you harm. A free government with good intentions has no need to fear an armed population. What is the Obama regime secretly planning for us?
Once again, Obama is effectively ruling by decree. He is using his executive power as president to impose a major restriction on the availability of guns and ammunition. He will do this again and again in the future completely disregarding the U.S. Constitution which he and his fellow Democrats consider nothing but a worthless scrap of paper.
The Founding Fathers wanted a well-armed militia, which they defined as all the White males between 18 and 45. The Founding Fathers did not want America to turn into a multi-racial cesspool. The Founding Fathers did not want a closet socialist mulatto as president. And the Founding Fathers wanted a free White republic with ALL the Rights in the Bill of Rights completely intact.
