CNN’s Prime Time Show a “Ratings Dumpster”

An article on WorldNetDaily reports that Campbell Brown has announced ” ‘I’m quitting this ratings dumpster’ …CNN’s news anchor at 8 p.m. Eastern Time, is quitting the cable network, and is making no secret as to the reason why: poor ratings. In a statement filled with candor, Brown says, ‘…Simply put, the ratings for my program are not where I would like them to be…I could have said, that I am stepping down to spend more time with my children… Or that I am leaving to pursue other opportunities…But I have never had much tolerance for others’ spin, so I can’t imagine trying to stomach my own. The simple fact is that not enough people want to watch my program, and I owe it to myself and to CNN to get out of the way so that CNN can try something else.’ ”

Perhaps a big problem for her is that Americans are getting sick of whiny liberal lectures and news censorship instead of news reporting. CNN still doesn’t show any respect for the TEA party movement despite Rand Paul’s victory in Kentucky. Instead, the liberal media has been scrounging for every off hand remark by Rand Paul that they hope they can use against him.

Americans don’t want to watch a TV network that they view as “the enemy”. Ever since Lou Dobbs left CNN, it’s been a wasteland of liberalism or mindless fluff stories by Larry King, who couldn’t ask a hardball question if his life depended on it.

The article notes: “The 8pm hour in cable news world is currently driven by the indomitable Bill O’Reilly, Nancy Grace and Keith Olbermann. According to the Nielsen Company’s ratings, Campbell Brown brings in an average of 591,000 viewers per night so far this year. That falls far short of the [conservative] time-slot leader Bill O’Reilly of Fox News, who averages 3.34 million. [ultra-liberal] Keith Olbermann on MSNBC is said to average 1.03 million, and Nancy Grace, who hosts a crime-oriented talk show on CNN’s sister network HLN, has an average of 724,000 viewers. CNN lost its 7 p.m. anchor, Lou Dobbs, in November when the veteran broadcaster unexpectedly resigned… Dobbs’ refusal to drop birther stories about challenges to President Obama’s constitutional eligibility to hold office was reportedly a major source of contention with CNN management, leading the anchor to walk away from the network and more than $9 million.”

Americans want real stories on topics that they consider important. The liberal media censorship of all questions about Obama’s citizenship does not sit well with millions of Americas. If someone did a prime time documentary on Obama’s citizenship (which wasn’t a liberal cover-up job), it would likely bring in at least 10 million viewers. When you only produce liberal state-approved pablum, you can expect to be in last place.

The fact remains undeniable that the most popular American media personalities are the White and conservative ones, Bill O’Reilly and Glenn Beck on TV and Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity on talk radio. Liberalism does not and never has had any major support outside the affluent and wealthy Anglo-Jewish intellectual and governmental classes.

White Americans are growing more radical every day. They want positive coverage of the TEA Party movement, not condescending sneers from arrogant liberals.
