Every once in a while a truly bizarre case pops up. This story could be anything from a political dirty trick to the rape of a drunk woman to drunken consensual sex between a very odd couple. King was running against a nine-term incumbent Democrat at a time when anti-incumbent sentiment (especially against Democrats was very high). Would a nine-term Democrat incumbent arrange a dirty trick to derail a political opponent? That definitely adds to the confusion surrounding this case.
An article from CityPages reports: “This one may take the cake for the strangest political scandal of the 2010 season. [Black] Charlette Harris was supposed to be having a business lunch with David King, a [black] candidate for Wisconsin Secretary of State, after he helped get her a job. But the Milwaukee God Squad conservative wasn’t as interested in wage negotiations as he was in keeping Harris’s margarita glass full, according to a lawsuit Harris filed (the week before the election).”
It’s interesting that this Negro, King is described as a conservative candidate and a member of the (presumably Christian) “God Squad”. Black conservatives are the most hated of all political phenomena by the Left, and the Left will go to any lengths in order to discredit them, as witness the disgraceful Clarence Thomas hearings.
The Citypages article notes “Harris says after the third round she threw up, and King brought her back to his house. She says she passed out on his couch but awoke in his bedroom with her pants unbuttoned. A month later, she discovered she was pregnant. Harris is sure King is the father because, uh, well, she’s a lesbian and has been with the same partner for four years. The accusations run contrary — as they so often do — to the devout Christian image King had cultivated during his campaign. King, whose political style has included calling Wisc. Gov. Jim Doyle a crackhead, was quick to refute the allegations via his Facebook page. ‘There is not truth to these accusations and the time of these accusations are apparently politically and financially motivated,’ he wrote. Harris says she isn’t motivated politically and hasn’t voted in 10 years. Political hot potato or not, there is a bun in the oven. Harris is not sure if she’ll be keeping the baby or putting it up for adoption. We’re looking forward to the paternity test.”
Not too surprisingly David King lost his race for Milwaukee Secretary of State due to the rape accusation.
There’s a whole laundry list of issues here:
1).Women should not be getting “black out” drunk with men, they’ve just met. The woman in this story may have agreed to sex. She admits she can’t remember anything, which includes whether or not she said “yes” or “no” or simply blacked out. The only person who likely knows for certain what happened is David King, but he can’t be forced to testify against himself and he can’t be forced to take a lie detector test, which may be the only way of resolving this incident.
2).The alleged victim did not go to an emergency room for a rape test immediately after waking up. This suggests that she wasn’t certain if she consented or not. By failing to go for a rape test immediately, any chance of a successful rape prosecution is greatly reduced.
3).Ironically, if this Black conservative had stuck to Christian principles and hadn’t chosen to fornicate with a drunken woman (assuming it was consensual), he wouldn’t be in this predicament.
4).It’s possible this was a set up much like the Clarence Thomas hearings. One of Thomas’ long time female assistants accused him of sexual harassment, and then followed Thomas from one job to another where he allegedly harassed her some more. Notice that King is being sued for damages, not criminally prosecuted, and
5).We should have learned by now that certain Black women will make up false charges –just like Tawana Brawley did against a police officer and just like a Black stripper did against some Duke LaCrosse players. None of these women have been charged with perjury so legally there’s no “down side” for these women to make phony rape allegations. Perhaps it’s long overdue that police should use lie detectors especially when the accuser is a stripper or politically motivated or lacking any DNA evidence.
