Top Israeli Rabbi Calls for Total Annexation of West Bank

elkThe top rabbi serving the Jewish communities in Samaria—the northern part of the occupied West bank, which is nominally under the control of the Palestinian authority—has called for an Israeli government “price tag” which will encompass the formal annexation of the region into Israel.

Rabbi Elyakim Levanon, the rabbi of Samaria (Shomron) communities and head of the Elon Moreh yeshiva at the illegal Jewish settlement northeast of Nablus, made his comments at a rally yesterday to mark the funeral of a Jewish settler killed in clashes with protesting Palestinians.

The government must institute a national “price tag,” he said. “Defense is in the government’s hands, not the citizens’ hands.”

“Price tag” is the term used for vandalism or assaults in which Jews target Arab or Christian properties in retaliation for anti-illegal settlement protests. Although the Israeli police have arrested suspects several times with much publicity, they have all been freed for “lack of evidence.”

“If the government would take real ‘price tag’ steps, like it should do, and knows how to do, citizens wouldn’t have to do ‘price tag’,” Rabbi Levanon said.

“We brought this government to power to change the situation in Judea and Samaria,” he continued, in a reference to the newly-formed coalition government in Israel. “We must extend Israeli sovereignty to all of Judea and Samaria.”

The “Judea and Samaria Area” is the official Israeli term corresponding to the territory usually referred to as the West Bank, but excluding East Jerusalem.  That part of Jersualem has already been incorporated into Jerusalem District and is under Israeli civilian rule and is thus excluded from the administrative structure that is the Judea and Samaria Area.

The Judea and Samaria area is administered by the Israel Defense Forces Central Command, and Military law is applied.

The region was captured from Jordan during the Six Day War in 1967, and has remained under Israeli occupation ever since, in defiance of United Nations Security Council Resolution 242 (November 1967) which called for Israeli withdrawal.

The West Bank (including East Jerusalem) and Gaza Strip are considered occupied Palestinian territories by the United Nations and its member states—including, on paper at least, the United States (although the controlling Jewish lobby in America just ignores this) and the International Court of Justice of the European Union.

Despite these resolutions, an Israeli government-commissioned report issued in July 2012, the “Levy Committee” asserted that there is no legal basis under international law to refer to Judea and Samaria as “occupied territory.”

Once again, the Jewish Supremacists have simply done whatever they wanted to do, confident that their fellow tribalists who control the mass media will simply cover up or ignore these Zionist crimes.
