Nobody Expects the Spanish Inquisition!

Spanish_inquisition-375x300Commentary by Dr. Patrick Slattery — I don’t know if no one actually expected the Spanish Inquisition, but I never expected this: more than 500 years after Spanish Jews were given the choice to conform to Spanish norms of morality and behavior or leave the country, the descendants of those who refused to conform (convert to Christianity) are now being invited back into the country and are being offered much-coveted citizenship (which carries with it the right to live and work almost anywhere in Europe).

Radical Jews who would not conform to local standards of behavior were expelled from Spain in the 15th Century just as they were from numerous other countries over the centuries due to their habit of predatory and anti-social behavior. However, in November, Spain’s justice minister Alberto Ruiz-Gallardon announced that anyone who could prove their Spanish Jewish origins would be given Spanish nationality.

“According to the Spanish Federation of Jewish Communities, which processes the applications, there were about 6,000 inquiries in the first month alone – including one from an unnamed member of the US Congress.” Uber-Zionist Iliana Ros-Lehninan is the only Congressperson of Sephardic ancestry that I can think of. Her “oath of office” has never stood in her way of putting Israel’s interests first, so what would stop her from applying for foreign citizenship?

However, the BBC article below indicates that the offer of citizenship does not apply to the descendants of those Sephardic Jews who actually made a sincere conversion and relates the tale of a New York Times reporter who is a Catholic descendant of Sepharim who was told by Spanish authorities that she would only be granted Spanish citizenship if she converted to Judaism.

Israel’s “Law of Return” has been used to usurp land and power from the Palestinians for the past 66 years. Now Spain is offering the same special privilege to the self-chosen ones. It goes to show who is really running Europe and in whose interest. What do you bet that the Ashkenazi Jews will start a campaign for a similar “Law of Return” in some other European country?

The point is that until the world agreed on the Geneva Conventions under European and American leadership, the history of humanity was a story of different groups pushing each other around the world. Yet what other group gets permanent claims to living in a land after hundreds or even thousands of years of absence because some of their ancestors might have dwelt there? And what other group is engaged in an on-going ethnic cleansing project, financed by U.S. taxpayers?

Sephardic Jews invited back to Spain after 500 years

By Gerry Hadden — PRI’s The World

More than 500 years ago, tens of thousands of Jews fled Spain because of persecution. Now their descendants are being invited to return.

Before the infamous Spanish Inquisition of the 15th Century, some 300,000 Jews lived in Spain. It was one of the largest communities of Jews in the world.

Today, there are about 40,000 or 50,000 – but that number could be about to swell dramatically.
